Carlos Argüello

Carlos grew up exploring the jungle and riding the waves along Costa Rica’s coast. With over 20 years of experience in the local tourism industry, he has built a strong reputation as a professional guide—especially as a mountain and canyoning expert.

He is currently the General Manager and Lead Guide at Costa Canyoning, where he combines his deep passion for nature and adventure to create unforgettable experiences for every guest.

Carlos has traveled internationally to expand his skills, including training in Patagonia, where he became a certified Canyoning Guide (Levels 1, 2, and 3) with ICOPRO (International Canyoning Organization for Professionals). He later moved to Boulder, Colorado, where he spent over a year training in rock climbing and vertical rescue techniques.

Now back in Costa Rica, Carlos leads Costa Canyoning with a clear mission: to deliver safe, high-quality adventures while making sure every guest leaves with their “cup full” of excitement and connection to nature.
